I had the single for this when I was a teenager. I had never heard about it, but there it was, on display by the register at Tower Records. The clerk looked askance as I added it to my purchase, but nothing is too cheesy for a Max Headroom fan.
I added it to a mix tape and listened to it, and the B-Side "Gimme Shades" incessantly. Eventually the tape got queafed and somehow, in all my moves over the years the record disappeared.
I suddenly remembered the song earlier this year, and while google searches would turn up references to it, this is the first time I've found an MP3. My heart has grown three sizes this day.
Elsewhere on the site is Max interviewing Shatner. Oh yes.

I, I, I, I, remem, remem, remember this one, one, one, one, guy from the past, p, p, p, puhaleeze.
What a fine, fine, fine, fine find.
Hap, hap, happy new year to you,
scott,t,t,t,t,t,t,t,t,t,t,t,t,t,t,t,t,t,t,t,t,t,t,t!
