So, been a while since I posted, hasn't it?
No, I haven't given up. I still love all you crazy kids. But the fundamental nature of the klubhaus has changed. When I started this, it was a lifeline to my homeland from the snowy wilds of Canada, a way to keep up with y'all without having to clog your inboxes. But now if I have news, it's just as easy to, y'know, tell you the next time I see you. And if a pseudo-meaningful thought occurs to me, I can verbalize it and let it waft off to nowhere, rather than write it down and pretend that something like this is worth preserving for posterity.
So, the ol' blogadoodleehoo is changing, in ways that I can't quite predict. There'll be fewer of the "don't click this link" links, mainly because I do most of my websurfing at work, where I can't click the links myself. Less of what's going on with me, for the reasons above, though probably more of the Shelly immigration stuff, because it gives me a migraine having to repeatedly recount the hoops they make us jump through.
What does that leave? Well, I could finally continue the sporadic geek-autobiographical posts. I could keep up the comics and pop-cult critiques, because I know you're all champing at the bit for my analysis of Infinite Crisis and its negative effects on Giffen and DeMatteis' 80s Justice League. Cause I know you can't get enough of that stuff.
So, that's where we're at, wherever that is. More to come. Meanwhile, click here for a chance to see me Riverdance.
